    1982 GS1100E Motor Swap?

    I have a 1982 GS1100E and I need a motor for it. I have looked high and low for another GS motor but no luck. I was wondering what would be a pretty close bolt in motor for an alternative plus maybe get something a little newer? I have a lead on a 1992 Katana 1100 would the motor work? Also I have seen a few 86 GSXR1100's as well. Any help would be appreciated.

      I think the 1150 is a bolt in but newer and more power. They are almost as rare as hen's teeth.

      Find an 1100E motor they were made for 4 years (80-83)

          I have GS 1100 & 1150 motors & can build to whatever HP level you would like for the street. Let me know if interested. The roller bearing GS cranks are WAY more durable & able to take abuse than the plain bearing GSX-R, Katana, & Bandit cranks. Ray.

              Thanks Ray for the offer, only shipping a motor from the states into Canada would rape me!!
              I just want it for street use no drag racing or anything. So the other engines won't fit? GSXR, Katana etc?

                      Well U could go back to a GS750 80-82 16V I guess
