Fork Stanchion Tube Repair
One stanchion tube on my GS needs to have the nicks removed. Eating up seals...I thought that I had done a good job a few months ago. Guess not. What seems to work best in removing the seal-eaters? Thanks in advance.Tags: None -

Do it properly . You can get them straightened , ground and hard chromed for cheap, cheap and you'll never touch them again.Your local bike shop will be able to tell you who does it locally.Any other fix is bodgy and will fail again.Cheers,Simon.

You can take the sharp edges off with 2000 grit wet & dry wrapped round the tube.
Best thing to do if you can afford it is to get replacement legs, either good secondhand or look here:
