    GS 1000 E vs GS1000 L

Do both bikes use the same frame? Could you swap body parts from one to the other? Could you put an E tank on an L frame???

    No.

    No.

    And no.

    At least not without modifications.

    E is a standard/sportbike. L is a cruiser. Totally different styles.

The main frame dimensions are the same, but the tank and seat mounts will not be in the same location between the two models, so it would not be a bolt in swap. However, if you have a mig welder and can do a little fabrication, then it isnt a big problem to mount a E syle tank and seat to a L style bike.
