No O-rings for mixture scre(air jets)

I've got a 79 GS425, and the O-rings for the mixture screws have deteriorated. How can I expect it to run with no o-rings on there? Real lean? Low power?

Also anybody know of a good sources to replace those o-rings?

Try Mr. Robert Barr. He's a member here. You might pm or e-mail him first to make sure he has them for your bike.

Sure, can't hurt. Might be hard to get a good idle and crisp low throttle response, but it shouldn't hurt anything. It might run just fine, some of them do with completely shot o rings.
You can always add the orings when you get them, without even pulling the carbs.
