needle jet under float in carb BS34SS

In the carb cleaning pictures he has no little plastic half dome screen when he shows the needle jet seat. I do and didn't put it in the dip cuz it did not want to slip off easy and I was afraid it would break. Is that Ok ?

That is your secondary fuel filter, and it is mounted to your float valve, not your needle jet.

Of all the things to not dip, that is probably the one that will hurt the least.

(Your primary fuel filter is inside the tank, on the inlet pipe to the petcock.)

Form a soccer goal with a towel and with a small screwdriver push out on a notch on the small screen towards the goal and
