One more thing to consider. It may be neither, perhaps you have a problem with a disc in your neck that you were not aware of before and the wind uncovered it while ridding.

Thank you all for your responses. My friends handlebars came off of an 850L. We are gonna give them a shot. Plus I'm gonna look into doing something with the pegs and perhaps the seat height. Also the centerstand trick is definitely gonna get looked into. The disc in my neck...? I hope not.Comment
