    Model Year Help

Can somebody help me out or point me in the right direction? I just got a GS550E but I can't figure out how to find out the year. It has a GS550E and six numbers stamped on the frame....And then GS550E and six DIFFERENT numbers stamped on the crankcase. I think it's a pre 81 model since it doesn't have a 17 digit VIN...Can anybody help me out? Thanks.

      I'm thinking it's a 1978 based on this link http://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Suzuki_GS550E

Here's some links to the pics of the GS550E and a 82 Yamaha 400...I got them both for $60!!!!!

And it's not a '77 with the cast wheels.

Looks like a great bobber candidate.

Well....they don't have titles....but from what I've researched here in South Carolina I don't think it will be too big a deal to get one...But I'm going to try and title it before doing anything major just in case....At the very least I can part it out and get my money out of it and then some.
