Will '86-'87 gsxr exhaust fit on '80 gs1100?

I know that a few of you have fit the '89-'92 gsxr1100 exhaust on the '80 gs1000s and
gs1100s but I haven't heard anything about the '86-'87. Can anyone give me a hand with this?

*edit* Also, does it matter significantly if it's a 4-1 collector rather than the 4-2-1?

Welcome aboard.

The fit is very much a function of the symmetry of the pipes. Here is a Mussy 4:1 header off of an 86 GSXR 1100G fited to a GS1100ED; same piep shoudl fit your GS1000 (after modifying the flanges). Fits quiet snug undernieth

If I snatch this up all that's left is the bushings to mate the 06 gsxr swingarm to the frame; and the electronic speedo!
