You know what helps with baffles?

packing! I took out the baffles from my new Dunstalls and low and behold there was no more than a squirrels breakfast in there for packing (fiberglass). I've been wanting to repack them to decrease the noise a bit, good thing I did. I followed Homgar's tutorial for steel wool packing and WHAMO the bikes running better than ever. It decreased the noise enough and helped my lean condition of exhaust pooping that I couldn't figure out. All praise back pressure. Great exhaust pipes, cheap, look almost stock, sound good but good advice to repack them as soon as you weld them on.

i'd like to do the same. i have stock airbox, carbs, etc, but somebody swapped out the exhaust for a 4n1 and i've not examined the baffle. i'd like mine a fuzz quieter, also. i've seen the material on jc whitney. where else is it available.

Virtually any bike shop. Especially if they sell dirt bikes.

Yup. I had to repack the old Bultaco recently. Most all bike shops carry it.

I bought my steel wool at Home Hardware. Canadian Tire shops sell it, virtually any auto shop will. It's nothing special. Same stuff I use to clean my alluminum and chrome.
