You know what helps with baffles?
packing! I took out the baffles from my new Dunstalls and low and behold there was no more than a squirrels breakfast in there for packing (fiberglass). I've been wanting to repack them to decrease the noise a bit, good thing I did. I followed Homgar's tutorial for steel wool packing and WHAMO the bikes running better than ever. It decreased the noise enough and helped my lean condition of exhaust pooping that I couldn't figure out. All praise back pressure. Great exhaust pipes, cheap, look almost stock, sound good but good advice to repack them as soon as you weld them on.Tags: None -

i'd like to do the same. i have stock airbox, carbs, etc, but somebody swapped out the exhaust for a 4n1 and i've not examined the baffle. i'd like mine a fuzz quieter, also. i've seen the material on jc whitney. where else is it available. -

I bought my steel wool at Home Hardware. Canadian Tire shops sell it, virtually any auto shop will. It's nothing special. Same stuff I use to clean my alluminum and chrome.Comment
