    Turn Signal Issues

I got the turn signals working on my '81 GS1000G today, after mixing and matching my little E-Bay collection of controllers and relays. Nothing worked. I finally got them to work, but they only work if I disconnect the ground from the controller. Self cancelling is not working.

    Any ideas?

How can I check the signal from the speedometer?

The speedo sensor will not prevent them from working. It only shuts them off.
When you say the controller do you mean the self cancel box?

Agreed As stated, they are working, without the ground hooked up, but they do not cancel. They do not work with the control unit ground hooked up.

I mean the part that my wiring diagram and parts book calls the "Turn Signal Control unit". It is the box mounted just forward of the relay, the one with the pig tail and separate ground wire.

      Thanks

Not sure if it's your problem but I have a few of those boxes.
