carb ID

Can anyone tell me what type of mikuni carb this is? It has serial #E069 stamped on the body. I`ve seen others but they don`t have the manual choke set-up that I do.

Measure the id of the intake side of the carb. If it's off a twin I bet it's a BS34SS carb. The 34 stands for 34mm.

By "intake side of the carb" I think he means the side that points to the engine.

At least, that is where I have always seen the carbs measured.

Well, ..., the intake side of the carb is where it takes in air from the airbox, and it's bigger.

The intake side of the carb is where it attaches to the intake of the engine.
At least that was my thinking on the subject.

I have always thought of that as the discharge side of the carbs.
Yeah, that's the side that's closer to the intake of the engine, but that's not what you said in your first post.
