His is a 650g, the clutch is actuated by a lever on top of the case, directly above the clutch plates, on the right.The clutch lever, cable and actuation mechanism are on the left. The actuator pushes a rod which goes through the engine to disengage the clutch pack on the right. So yes, the clutch is actually on the right side of the engine. On my GS550 I pour my oil in right onto the clutch disc pack
V8, the oil issues are something I still am fighting with my 650s. They are now just a small weeping problem, they show up as black dirt stuck to engine.
I have replaced all gaskets and still see a little oil here and there. I just get used to cleaning it. Just keep a keen eye on the oil level.Comment
