Steel Braided Brake Lines, 1 piece or 2 Pieces?

Given 16 years sitting in a barn I thought it would be prudent to replace the brake lines on my old 77 750B. When I search the popular aftermarket steel braided brake line sites, the offerings for this model bike are a one piece brake line from the master cylinder to the caliper unit. However the OEM brake line set up is 2 pieces with a connector just below the steering head. Does anybody have thoughts on replacing the 2 hoses with a single hose?
Similarly the rear OEM brake unit is a hose off the master cylinder to a connecting rod that runs down the swing arm with another hose to the caliper. Keep stock or just run a single hose?
Any help would be appreciated.

Based on your advise I will order the brake line(s) as a single piece. Should be cheaper and as you have pointed out, one less connnection to leak.

Flush all the fluid from the caliper, rebuild it if you can get a seal kit. I would rebuild the master cylinder too if it's been sitting that long.

Don't mess around with brakes. Get new pads too.

Given I'm from Canada, I have located these guys just down the road from Toronto. Should be no border issues (duty, Brokerage etc). Good ranking on Ebay. Anybody used them before?

I used the Russell Street Legal SS/Brake lines. I see listings for Russell in Canada. I had no problems finding the right lengths to fit my GS1000E. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink
