Is that a curious HMMMMMMMMMMM? If i simply turn the key to "on" the battery light, along with the other warning lights stays on until the bike fires up . Actually the bike had not been started since I took posession until the carbs were cleaned and re-installed yeaterday. Runs great, rides nice but rear suspension is too soft even on the highest settings on pre-load and re-bound. Hope original mono-shock is not shot.

i haven't owned an 1150 for several years so i really forget.
i remembered the bat light not being on at all after it was hot wired to 12 volts.
      like i said,
its been several years so i could be mistaken.

My batt wire is connected directly to the batt. +, on my "83" GS 1100. Yesterday, I went to crank it up, for the 1st time since December & found the batt. completely dead. I had installed a new Interstate AGM, last summer, so am thinking the batt indicator probably does draw current all the time, if not connected to a switched source. Just my opinion!!!
