Intake manifold position question

    Intake manifold position question

    I lost track of how the intake manifolds are supposed to go. Does the L (or R) that is stamped on the manifold face up or down? While I'm at it I might as well ask if anyone greased, or put anti-sieze, on the o-rings when installing a new set.

      the notch faces the head and yes the letters go up

          Which of your bikes is this going on?

          On most of the 8-valve engines, the vacuum sync port is on the intake tube, too. That should point down and out.

              I figured the leters face up but wanted to make sure. Not sure about any notches though. These manifolds are going on my GK that has the vaccuum synch ports cast into the runners that are part of the head, so I was unable to go by that.
