AHHH Help in Portland Or.

1979 GS Ran gine for last 2 days, started her up and idled to warm conditions. Have smoke coming up from around my carbs and under my fairing, and now all of a sudden have plumes of clear/white smoke coming out of tailpipes.

No evident oil leaks anywhere on the bike, put degreaser on 3 days ago, but have ridden her 3 times since then, with zero problems. I have no money, my tools were ripped off, and I can not afford a shop. If anyone here can answer the riddle to my sob story, I will be in your debt.

If anyone here is located in Portland Oregon, and is experienced and willing to give a guy a break with some help, Man that would be awesome because I am not a mechanic. This is the only transp. my daughter and I have right now.

Did you ride it very far on any of those 3 trips?

White smoke doesn't sound fatal, if it runs, I'd say take it for a ride and see if the smoke goes away

What degreaser did you use, and where did you put it? How does it sound? What was done to it? Have you had it a while? Did you do any work on it, previous owner, local shop? Also, what bike is it? Lots of GS's were made in 1979

Might check to see if the oil smells like gas.

What condition is the petcock (fuel valve) in?
