    Dim dash lights

All of the lights on my dash work but all are dim. I suspect they are very old and, maybe, original equipment. If I changed them and put in new ones..would they be brighter or would it be a waste of time??? Thanks, guys!!

More than likely it's voltage loss through poor connections. Try cleaning the connections from the base of the light bulbs (lamps) on back. With a poor connection there is a resistance that leads to power loss. Also check your ground connections for the lights. Sometimes rust or dirt degrades the ground.

After cleaning the sockets and checking the wires, yes new bulbs will be brighter.

Check the ign switch too. My gs850 the lights would dim when the brakes were applied, was caused by bad ign switch. Check all of the ground wires
