    battery caharger

    My charger says it is a i amp charger..My batterry is a 3 amp does that mean that I can charge for 3 hours for a full charge :?

    Yes, but if it is an automatic charger, just leave it on overnite, :twisted:

      I have a 1 amp charger as well, purchased recently. the amp rating on chargers is usually ampheres/hour. If it has auto shut off or overload protection you can just leave it on there.

        Correct cozine,
        My battery tender stays on all winter long, I check the battery fluid about once a week or so just to make sure it is not dry. Works really great.

          Yeah, Michael, I have a Battery Tender also....it works great. I wish I would have bought it about 8 or 9 motorcycles ago!

            I was thinking that a battery is a large capacitor and therfore should be self regulating. Only boiling off the water can cause any dammage with such small amperage chargers. Is this so???
