Thanks Keith. I think you are probably right on here, everything you said makes sense. I have ordered some basic synch' sticks from Dennis Kirk, they should be in tomorrow. The RPM's were only slow to return before I set the mixture screws out 5 turns. Of course by the time I did that the engine probably got up to operating temp, thus changing the way the mix burns. I'm gonna pull the carbs tonight and manually re-synch', then vacumn synch' tomorrow when I throw the rack back in. I don't think I'll have any problem or questions with the synch', I think I have the concept down. I'll let you know how it goes!Currently bikeless

I use a plastic gas tank off of an old lawnmower. It has the nipple on it for the hose, made to hold gasoline and works great.Originally posted by JethroYup, no air leaks and all is tight, one of the first things I thought to do. I think it just needs to be synched. The bike actually runs better than it has in a long time, but starting it from cold is a real problem. Time to synch! Hey, what do you guys do for a temporary gas tank while the real tank is off? I tried to rig something out of an empty oil container, but there has to be a better way!
