Does anyone know for sure what would be an allowable side play in a swingarm for the full floater rear swingarm 85 gs1150 or if there is any amount of play that is considered stock or should it be tight.

Supposed to be right tight. Any side play translates to excessive wear and poor handeling.Currently bikeless

Not just for your GS, but for swingarms in general, there should be no detectable sideplay. If you set your bike on the centerstand and hold the rear end in the air, then push and pull the rear wheel side to side you should not be able to feel or hear any movement in the wheel or arm. Any play there will result in generally unpredictable and possibly dangerous handling response from the bike.Does anyone know for sure what would be an allowable side play in a swingarm
