78 gs750e seat on an 80 gs1000e?

Does anybody know if a 78 suzuki gs750e seat is compatible with an 80gs1000e? Are they not identicle/the same?

I don't think so but I can't be certain. The 78 1000 and 80 1000 are not the same part number but I think they can interchange. I cannot find info on the 78 750.

Check out the gallery for the difference, while I both had a 750 and a 1000 I never had them at the same time so couldn't try to see if it fits but I'm allmost 100% sure that I doesn't.

I doubt that it would change over. The 750 had a physically smaller seat and different tank shape alltogether.
