It's the same. I've been using 80W-90 gear lube rated GL-5 for years. I use the cheap Walmart no-name brand, and change it once a year.

Listen to Nick. Some of us around here think he knows what he is talking about most of the time.

Just kidding Nick!!!!!! Seriously, use the multi-grade, it works great and I also use the generic stuff from the base gas station, change it once a year.
