brake lamp bulb - help needed

I just bought a 82 gs650gl and the brakelamp doesnt work. . . .Not exactly sure I have the correct bulb and plan to ride tomorrow - DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CORRECT BULB FOR THE BRAKE LIGHT? Not sure it even came with the right bulb and no time to order a service manual. Thank you in advance!!!

My '82 850 and all the other bikes I've seen of this vintage use a standard auto bulb: #1157. I expect yours would also.

            Definitely the 1157 bulb.

            It is available everywhere.

Alternate is a standard automotive 1034 bulb. Same as the 1157, but the 1157 is supposed to be more durable, which you want on a bike.
