Also, is your bike completely stock or do you have any mods at all?
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

I would normally buy a jet kit, but a stage 3 kit is designed to be used with pods AND a quality pipe.
You can try re-jetting with Mikuni main and pilot jets, but you'll still need to raise the jet-needle by shimming and you need to drill out the existing vacuum hole leading to the diaphragm chamber. The jet kit gives you the adjustable jet-needle and the correct size drill with instructions. But with your stock exhaust, who knows what the results will be? I don't have any experience with shimming the stock needles.
I would get a quality pipe and re-jet with a jet kit.
