    Simultaneous Maintenance?

I think I need to replace my steering head bearings this winter. As long as I have the forks etc off, is there anything else I could/should be doing in terms of maintenance?

you could drill a hole in the frame neck and add a zerk fitting so you can lube the new bearings with a grease gun.....

I would drain, flush and refill the brakes. Maybe strip the forks fit new bushes and seals, and new oil, maybe even look ata set of progressive fork springs &/or Gold valves.

Drilling a hole for a grease fitting would only be a benifit if you have the OLD style roller ball brgs unless you fill the whole neck with grease

since you will have the front tire off, that would be a good time to check the wheel bearings.
