Engine ID is gs110x, how do you decipher the engine ID to know what type and if the engine fits the bike? Thanks

it would depend on the bike, Gs110 would be a 1100

Sounds like an 80-81 GS1100 motor ID.

mine starts with the same #'s it'sa 16v 1100 , that'sabout all I know.
