    New Calipers Installed

Well I was tired of both the looks and performance of my old calipers, so I decided to get some new ones. I found these:

on Ebay and saw that they had two mounting holes. I realized my current ones had two mounting holes, so they must fit. I got them both shipped for a total of about $25. (notice the final bid of $.99 ) I spent about $4 getting some spacers, bolts, and nuts needed to secure them properly and let me tell you, they really look the business.

I broke my master cylinder and am waiting for a new one off a 2004 GSXR, so my review of the caliper's performance will be biased because of the better master cylinder, but I'll tell you how much better my brakes are soon enough.

The calipers are off a 2001 Katana, and if anyone would like more detail on how I got them mounted I'd be happy to tell.

So how are the new calipers working? I for at least one. am interested in your project. Pictures would be great. I don't know if this is possible on a 78 model but, would like to see your setup.

actually I feel pretty stupid about the whole thing, cause now I'm not sure if they're going to work at all. because of the width of the rotor on the katana, the pads are quite long, but narrow. I thought I had them angled correctly so the pad diagonally covered the entire rotor, but looking at it again, there was about a half inch on the inside of the rotor that wasn't touched, so I'll have to look more into it to see if it's possible to mount them better, so I'll update when I have more information
