Lots of new stuff.!!! Any tips installing???

Hello!!! About two months ago i finally went ahead and bought myself all the nessecary parts to install an oil cooler on my newly built GS674 engine.!!! While i was scouring the net i also found a NOS still in its original box advance govenor assembly from finland and thought why not also grab it and replace my original 40year old something one??

The main question i have is that as you will see the cooler comes with a mounting kit but on the frame of the gs there are 2 blind holes on the front of it that thats where the coolers mount i suppose. But the holes are blind,no threads nothing so then how does the kit mount securely on the frame??? What peopple use to mount the bracket on the front of the frame? I just fit 2 studs with rubber washers to absorb vibrations and secure the cooler with security nuts on the studs??? I dont think so...Looking for any tips for the installation in general.!

The two holes in the frame tube - are they in the horizontal tube that crosses over just below the steering head?
      Sure they're not threaded?
They were tapped 8mm in both of mine.

Its the two holes just in front of the valve cover yes the horizontal metal tube now i am not on the bike but the frame is powdercoated maybe this threw me off and didnt notice the threads on the holes??? I will double check again. Scouring through the net i also noticed that many people advise the use of teflon tape on the threads that go on the cooler and the adaptor under the carbs. Is it really needed?

The banjo fittings do not need any tape - use good copper crush washers (some of them now have rubber/aluminum washers - not my favorite)

The oring fittings - I've been known to use tape when I don't need it to leak - my personal preference here.

            Another vote for the tape.

Yeah the whole package came with 4 aluminium crush washers i assume they go to the banjo bolts that screw on to the adapter.. 1 on the upper side of the banjo bolt and the other on the side that threads on the adaptor i assume??? Now the 2 other threaded adaptors that connect to the cooler itself already came with 2 rubber orings if you look at the pics closely. I think i will put a little tape also only on those.
