    GS750B exhaust options

I have been looking at exhaust options for my ressurection project and only seem to find the standard megaphone-type (MAC or V&H) exhausts and really want a cannister instead. Since I need headers also, I would like to buy a full system, but I really am not sure what way to go. Is there anywhere I can buy a V&H headers by themselves and fit a separate cannister?

I would prefer to have the headers bolt straight up or have only minor modification in that area, but I am not opposed to modding the collector to make them fit the bike.

I have no idea what other engines have the same exhaust spacing & bolt pattern. Unfortunately, a site search only confused me more.

It probably doesn't fit, but it will give you an idea of what I am looking for.

I think Jardine makes one still:

No picture there, but I think there's a Kat on here with one...

Check to make sure that will work with your year also. I just remembered seeing it earlier.

This is what you're looking for, a motad exhaust.

No no no, that is the wrong picture. That's a Nexxus system, they're auctioning a standard Motad 4-1. As far as I know, and I verified this via the motad site, there is no Nexxus pipe for the GS750s. You'll be buying a standard (and very poor quality, in my opinion) Motad pipe that looks more like this:

That's for a CB of course, but it'll look very similar.

I spoke to a rep for Motad here in the states. I was quoted $599 from distributor here, so the ebay price is good if anyone is interested. It seems like it is designed to flow only slightly better than stock & the baffles are not removable. I like the look of the Motad, but I know nothing of the quality.
That said, I would prefer something with more gusto than stock anyway. I will need something that breaths, or I can make breath, since I am working on a Wiseco BB kit, and there is no sense in choking it.

The Jardines would work I think. (I love the red GS pic btw). Can anyone say what the cannister is like? Baffles, packing? Can I take it apart when needed?

Are the only options I have for pipes listed to fit '77-83 GS750/850/1000 or can I look for something for a newer bike (GSX maybe)?
Can anyone explain the design difference in these three V&H Pipes?

I put a 1991 GSXR750 Hindle on my 1984 GS750E. The muffler was very snug to the passenger foot peg. Otherwise it bolted up nice. Rejetting required.
