    Progressive/Info

I was mislead by Steven at Bikebandit when he told me the series 12 Shocks came with springs. I got them and no they dont. He told me to return them for ones with springs installed. Today he said thats not an option.
So...Anyone know where to get Series 12s with springs installed. I dont want to have to buy a bunch of tools to install springs.

    Bikebandit shocks $155 springs $56
Dennis Kirk shocks $173 springs $60

You gotta be careful, but you can use anything from C clamps to vise grips to compress the springs a bit. Protect the paint or chrome with rags or use pieces of wood.

I won't tell you how to use two screwdrivers while squatting down and using a knee will easily compress those springs...cuz God help you if they slip!

      But it worked for me.

Quite a few years back I was able to check out a pair of spring compressors from a Murray's auto parts. I don't remember if I had to rent them, or they lent them, but they should be easy to find and easy to use.

I know this isn't exactly an answer to the question you were asking, but I think it's something to think about.

To my knowledge they don't come installed. You buy them separately. At least that's how I got mine. The springs come in different strengths. HD Dual HD ECT......

Took them down to my local "nice guy " motorcycle parts and repair shop. Took him five minutes and he didn't even charge me.

Spring compressor or a couple of heavy duty tie downs, the plastic kind you can get at home depot and a c clamp.
Clamp down on the spring, use the tie down to kepp it compressed, install
make sure the retaining caps and bolts in place, cut the tie down after it's on the bike.
