If youre looking to improve intake air flow, it only seems neccesary if you plan to improve EXHAUST airflow. Stock, these bikes get all the air they need. Actually, stock, a little more than they need really. BUT, if you are planning to install a 4into1 or something, it can CERTAINLY be done without removing the stock airbox. It would involve a slight upjet, as you would be improving overall flow, thus leaning things out a hair, but a DynoJet or FactoryPro kit will give you exactly what you need to run JUST a pipe, and even if you decide to go to pods later on, you'll have it if you go ahead and get the Stage III kit (as it includes Stage I as well)Originally posted by snark View Post
