new project gs4503 what should i mod??

so i got a stock gs4503. its a 1981. should i go str8 carbs and no pod filters? also i have an xr500 tail with seat and a teardrop gas tank(gs500?). wantin to do other mods wondering what parts i should get. im tryin to make it budget and im plannin on painting it white soon. bunch of work to do but im excited and will be doin things when i can. i was thinkn of doing str8 headers and chopping the exhaust since it is banged up. ne good recommendations on exhaust headers??

you need some sort of restriction on it.. pods or an airbox.. as for headers, hav eone made or get a vance and hines.

anyone has any more advice. ive been busy as sh!t at work and whenever i get the chance ill be doing the wiring completely, oil change, and random minor things.
