My ever faithful GS is going to roll over 100,000 miles sometimes early next year (with no internal work done!!). To reward her for her faithful service, she is getting an extensive overhaul. I would like to install an 1166 kit...stock cam profile,(if feasible) and go with HD cam chain, new tensioner and guide, valve springs, new valves, clean up the seats, etc. The bike already had what I suppose amount to a Stage I jet kit (adjustable needles from an 83 Kat1100 from Canada, and 112.5 mains). I live in Charleston Sc, which is only slightly above Sea Level. After market MAC header and Holeshot slip on. I am not a heavy handed rider, and am not looking for max HP/TQ. Well, ok, maybe max TQ!

I realize I may have to bump the mains and pilots up a little....anybody think my mid-upper 40's mpg will be a thing of the past if I go the over-sized piston route?
