any headers for other models that fit?

looking for a 4 into 1 header only, and curious if any modern headers of other makes/models headers fit a 79 gs1000.

Oil cooled GSXR & Katanas with oil cooled motors have same port spacing & will fit. Also, 1200 Bandits. GS 1100/1150 pipes too. Ray.

i dove a little deeper and read a post from you stating the above from eons ago. you are the man.

I put a '89 GSXR 1100 4-2-1 header on my bike by cutting off the GSXR flanges and welding on the ones from a GS header. Works great, looks trick (IMHO) and ground clearance couldn't be better. You may find you need to do the same with other headers (Bandit etc) to get them to fit at the exhaust ports on the GS head.

very nice. any direct bolt ons, or are anything other than a gs1000 header going to need cut and paste?
