    Reference Mark

I seem to be missing a reference mark on my ignition. The bike I have is is a 78 GS1000E with a dyna S system on it. When checking it with the timming light I don't seem to have a stationary timing mark to time this bike with. I would take pics but the bike is in storage and unaccessable, But as I recall When I take the dyna S off There is nothing behind it but the plate that has the springs and weights on it for the advance. So could someone show me some pics of a correct ignition with the stationary marks on it so I could see what is missing, that prevents me from timming this beast correctly and accurately. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the PO of my 1979 GS1000 left the reference plate out when he installed the Dyna S, but luckily he had left it in a bag with "spare" parts. Guess he never timed the ignition! But then, he told me he had installed a Dynojet Stage 3 kit with the headers and K&N pods, but those were in with the "spares" too.
