81 650GL with twin rotors?

Hey guys, is it possible to give the 650L two front rotors and calipers instead of one? What bike could I pull the assemblies off of?

Bike pictured is an 81 650 Katana, front forks are adjustable on the kat for preload too (2 settings). I'm pretty sure the forks are the same diameter as the 650L, but i was told the fork springs are a bit different, someone on here will be along soon enough with the exact info.

Those forks would change youe steering geometry and make it steer quicker I would use the complete assembly, inc tripple trees

Just thinking out loud here, but if you are considering replacing forks (and triples), then why not consider improving the front suspension in one go and try using something like bandit-6 or sv650 forks? Okay, they'll be a bit short (and (again) change geometry) cos those are made for 17" rims, but a suitable option will be suggested shortly.

You'd want to look into replacing the master cylinder to cope with the extra hydraulic requirements as well.

PS. Yaddy - that rim looks nice in black! What tyre have you managed to squeeze on there? Radial?

If you are interested, I have a complete dual-disc "kit" that I put together before I decided to go with a GSXR 1100 front end and wheels. It has both tabbed lowers, a right-hand caliper, a pair of slotted discs, a fender, a master cylinder, and a tubeless front alloy wheel. The forks are 35mm diameter from a GS 650, and should slip right into your triple-trees. If you're interested, PM me.

Great info here! jknappsax, what bike did the kit parts come off of? From what I'ce read here, basically, just try to find a similar 650cc suzuki and take the whole brake kit?
