Twinpot Brake upgrade on 78 Skunk

Well... I'm now out of kits but planning to get a few more made up which will be available late Feb.

This time for various reasons (mainly ease of getting them made up) I am going to go with steel.

The benefits of this for us will be: Cheaper brackets plus we can use the stock bolts as I will make the bracket a bit thinner (This is fine with the added strength of steel). This will save another additional expense.
All brackets will be powdercoated black.

The only drawback is a little extra weight but I reckon it will be only a couple of ounces a side different all in.

I will post up more info & prices when I get them.

Tom, can you share what calipers and rotors you have used for this set up. Will it fit mine which is GSX1100ET and is with this front wheel:

Loads of info on this if you search. It's a Kawasaki caliper set with a CBR F3 Rotor set.
You need brackets and spacers plus adapters for the rotors to make it all fit.
I should have more in a couple of weeks.

Would an 89 Ninja caliper off a ZX750 work?(gold ones)? Also,I would like to add my name for a set of brackets if they become available.

I've definitely used some ZX750 ones of that era but I'd need to see some pictures to be 100% sure.

On a related note, what do you use to paint the black spacers and brackets? I wasn't paying attention when I bought a set of silver ones from you last year. They sure have a nice finish quality and I want to keep up your standards!

I only had silver.... I just scuffed cleaned & hit them with some PJ1 case paint. Been ok so far.
