    need help

    i need a suggestion on whats wrong when one spark plug burns coal black. how can i fix this?

    i would post this in the tech section, but it sounds like either you have a bad plug wire or you need to clean and adjust your carbs. If you do a search about these two topics you will find a load of info on both.

    For future referance it helps to post more detailed info like what type of bike it is and any type of maintanace history the bike has had.

      Buy a box of spark plugs, and just change it out after it gets black.

      Could be a jetting problem, could be a petcock problem off the top of my head.

      What year and size of bike?

      Which plug is turning black?
