I thinking of getting some gsxr750 38mm slingshots for my 81 gs1100ex and ive done some research on here on what carbs boots will work, i found a couple of threads saying stock ones will work but very tight. so yeah if any more info has come up. Can you buy bigger carb boots??? what do all the drag racer guys use??

Stock boots are all there is unless you go INDIVIDUALLY mounted carbs (like Lectrons). The 38s will go into stock boots no problem. If yours are old or questionable, get new ones, spray WD40 or a similar lube in them & stick the carbs in. Ray. -

If you put the left side intake manifolds on the right side and the right side on the left side it will strighten up the intrack the gain is small but there is a gain. I saw 2mph increase and about .050 in et in the 1/4 mile with 38RS Mukunis. But you can't do this with the air box still on. You have to go to the pod KnN filters. If I knew how to post pic I could show you what I am talking about. It works on all gs 16 valve motors with the spicket mount manifoldComment
