Has anyone ever looked into the possibility of putting jugs and head from larger displacement engine on the 850 bottom end?? I am not considering it, just curious. Gene

They don't fit, something about cylinder spacing or something. Also the heads are different between the 750/850 and the bigger engines. Can't remember exactly but I read about it a while ago.
But an entire 1100G or 1000G engine will pop right in the 850 frame. Easy to do, it has been done often.... -
What about mods to the stock 850L muffler to get a little bit of a deeper louder/sound without sacrificing the stock jets and all also?
