    Dry Block Mod

Is it of any use on the street? Seems a shame that you would run your oil through a cooler, then send it up through passages in a searing hot block before it gets to the cams and followers.

Do a search for top end oilers if you wanna add more flow to the cams

Do NOT dry block a street 1100 motor! Well, if you want to buy some of my parts, go ahead! Or do you have more motors than I do? Dry blocking is a drag race only thing on GS motors. Ray.

Can someone explain the dry block mod to me? I'm having an oil leak issue coming from the left and right sides of my cylinder jug base gasket. Engine is a 1327 with oversized studs and I think this may be the culprit.

          Thanks!

Dry blocking is only done when you bore your upper cases so large that you cut into the oil passage in the top case. Then you have to use a top end Oiler. A top end oiler will help get more oil to the head
Len, check to see if you are getting excessive case pressure. That will cause the problem you are having. Also make sure both suffice are perfectly flat and clean.
No one dry blocks because they can?t get a gasket to seal.
