      Don't some of these clutches shear their mount bolts? I know some 2 valve models do.

      This locator dowel would make the assy stronger. How difficult would it be to match drill the 83 1100 clutch assy?

      If shearing is never an issue on the 1150's then do as Ray suggests.

        i think the pin is for strength, why not use the 1100 clutch on it as well

              get an 1150 clutch housing or
              pull the pin and install per instructions for an 80-83 1100E/ES....
              the pin don't make a rats arse in the long run.
