    New Shocks

Just installed these shocks I got from Salty Dog, thanks Dan. Went for a short ride. What a difference. The bike feels more planted in corners and is much smoother all around. I am going to let them settle in and then start experimenting with the adjustments. The springs feel a little stiff right now. I am going to back off the preload and see if that helps. All in all I am real happy with the shocks. Between the shocks and the progressive fork springs the old girl rides like new.

could be; not sure Dan even knows. For the money he was asking they do a pretty damn good approximation to an adustable Ohlins

                Brand ?

Joel, Jim I looked all over the shocks and could not find any brand information. There is a decal on the shock body warning about high pressure. They seem well built and look to be rebuild able. Jim you right for the price there was no way to go wrong. I'll update this thread after I get some miles on them.

They supposedly use a "standard" oil seal... but I didn't pull them apart. No I'm not sure of the manufacturer either but they seem decent enough.

I still have the set of the black & gold Eye to eye shocks if anyone is interested (these are the ones that really look like Ohlins).

I can't get any more of these shocks I don't think.
