gday guys, has anyone used or got info, on dyna2000 ignitions, have used the older dyna s, for years but am looking to upgrade, like the idea of having a programmable setup, all feedback would be very helpfull.

I love the S with a shift minder and a DRL 400 2 step. fantastic and simple

the 2000 Ive never used but if you have turbo or nitrous there is a necessary retard function

I have a SP 4000 - love it too but it is expensive .7 coils and the shift minder - and shift counter plug right in. With a remote you can adjust the hi end chip and the 2 step right from the riding position

when the 4000 gives out I'm going back to the S

simple and cheap just my style

The 2000 have an onboard timing light and the rotor has a mini degree wheel. You set the full advance to 32.5-35 for the sixteen valve motors. I went with the 32.5 with crappy CA gas.
The 2000 retards the timing 15 degrees during idle and you can set the curve. #2 for street and #3 for racing.
It also has a rev limiter and retard mode for turbos and NOS.
Dyna-online has PDF instructions on their site.

I can tell you this, we get zero returns for repair. Everyone seems to love them.

I've got a chance on a great deal for a used dyna 2000 complete with wires and coils. The pickup plate is not for my bike though. Can I get away with using OE plate and wires? Is the dyna plate required for initial setup or anything?

              Thanks.

No way will it work. Call Dynatek to get the trigger and rotor. Ask for Raymond.

I was hoping to not spend any $$. The kit is for a 97 gsxr 750. Can that plate be modified to work? The coils are 2.2 ohms. I assume this will be OK as long as ignitor is Dyna 2000?
