anyone here racing a gs1000 or similar bike?
I just had my first races on my 78 GS1000 and need advice on what mods to make over the winter, particularly the ignition. I'm considering several options, including running a total-loss system or switching out the Dynatek ignition for an Electrex magneto system. Much obliged.

The guy helped build RCP's 78 GS1000. He might be able to help. I do not know him. So, I can really say if he would help out. It is worth a shot.

That's an interesting place to mount the oil cooler. It doesn't get in the way of your knee?Originally posted by wera racer View PostSorry, but I still have not mastered how to paste a photo directly, but here's a link to it...

steeldragonperformance.com made the V stacks. I already "have issues" with the exhaust dragging, but have Traxxion front springs and emulators ready to be installed. Also need better rear shocks. Hopefully that will take care of it.Originally posted by sharpy View PostTry a GSX alloy swingarm. (maybe braced) and love the carb intakes. Who made those? Interesting if you will have issues with that exhaust when u get better traction.
