engine mods for a gs 850

Does anyone know of a piston kit for boring out an 82 gs850? Or do pistons from a bigger gs motor fit if the motor is bored.
I've got the thing tore down right now and If there is something that will work I figure why not. Any suggestions on a mild cam?

    Any help would be great!

i can't find anything either. I've been looking for a while. The only things I found would be K&N no box air filters, in combination with rejeted carbs. but nothing on internals yet. Let me know if you find something.

There is a set of Yosh cams on Ebay right now that are supposed to fit.

        thanks guys.

I called the local parts shop and they sell .20 over piston rings but they can't get the pistons to fit it. (does that make any sense to anyone because it doesn't to me?)
Anyone know if 1100/1000 pistons will fit?

The piston pins on 1000's are 2mm larger diameter.

So does that mean if I have the cylinders bored 2mm bigger that I can stick a set of 1000 pistons in the cylinders, or am I not following you correctly. More info needed. I am pretty good with a wrench just not a master.

Also what gsxr year/model oil pump should I put on to get more pressure?
I am going to put an oil cooler on and I want to get more pressure in the system.

If the piston pins are 2mm larger you will need new connecting rods to fit.

I would talk with the good people at Megacycle in San Rafael, CA. I imagine they have someting for your bike in terms of pistons and cams.

Degreeing your cams to 106 works well with these motors.
It's a good compromise between top end horsepower and low/midrange torque. Gives you the widest powerband.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
