    And is that the tach that was in the cluster? I took mine apart with the same idea that you have already done. Could you maybe send me a picture of the back so I can see how you mounted it? Im not much of a fabricator but i wanted to make more of a plate with a few switches to hold the stock tach.
    Yes It is the tach from the original cluster, but this set up is just temporary so I could ride it for the summer. the new setup will be much cleaner. and will have a few switches mounted in the triple tree.

      I'm a little paranoid so I always safety wire the center bolt of a manual tensioner to one of the tensioner retaining screws....

        so i think a compufire R/R and an oil cooler may reduce the heat?

        An oil cooler would help, the compufire R/R probably won't. The Stator generates FAR less heat than the engine. I would look at directing air into the head in places and see if you can get it cooler.

          Would a full fairing help direct the airflow, I thought it may hinder cooling
