I'm trying to decide whether to put a big bore kit in my GS750, that would be an 850 kit? I wonder if it would just be better to find a GS1000 or even better a GS1100. I think that it would fit in my GS750 frame. Any advice on this? Thanks for the info

What is your final vision of having a modified bike? What are you really going to do with it?

You need a very detailed plan so you don't end up spending money twice on the same thing or buying something you cant reasonablly use. Worse yet get in the middle of a big project and quit.

what ever bike you choose to start with is going to have limiting factors..


the 16 valve 1100 is the most powerful and reliable. The aftermarket is established .

The 750 you have is a dead end - even with a 1000 engine;
skinny tires, weak brakes, dim headlight, light suspension. you'll change everything and spend double.
