    Engine swap

Anyone know what motors will swap with a 1977 Suzuki GS750...?

    Direct or with modifications?

I know that you can mix-n-match parts between your 750 and the 850. I think the early 1000's will work but that they require exhaust adjustments.

If you're willing to do some work then you can do anything. I'm running a 1993 Suzuki Katana 750 lump in mine but I had to setup forward and upper mounts. It was an easy way to get 110hp and about 60lbs of torque. I wouldn't want to go to much more powerful than that in these old frames...especially on stock suspension.

Which brings me to a prettyimportant question...what else have you done to the bike? Engine swaps should be about ht elast thing you do.

The GS 1000 engine bolts right in, it's more powerful, lighter, and smaller than the 750.. You need to make a couple motor mounts, easy peasy..
