Is there a big advantage using the Wiseco set up over installing a1100G top end including the cams and D shaped ports?

Besides 11 cc's, you get the extra hp that goes with the compression ratio increase.
But for the cost difference, not much IMHO.

bigger cam will give more compression as well, i dont think the piston kit would be as good as the cams , and it will make your cyl walls thinner

The GS1100G pistons are 72mm. With the 1100 stroke of 66mm it yields a 1075cc displacement. Those same pistons with the GS1000 stroke of 64.8mm only yields a 1055cc displacement. So the 1085 kit is actually 30cc bigger.

Compression rating. I think most of those wiseco kits are 10.5:1?
Cams won't increase compression like Dar said. But degree-Ing them evenly can "trick" it into acting like it has more.
Dollar for dollar, before I spent any money on pistons, I'd do the head. BB kits and larger diameter carbs are great, but if the head doesn't breathe any better, what's the point? Just my opinion though.

Yup, forgot to figure the stroke difference.
Still, a wiser choice for more power on the cheap.
